We are an Austrian-based start-up, which is revolutionising the construction world with our unique timber-hybrid modular construction system. It has already been used in a number of flagship building projects.

We offer unmatched repeatability, quality and cost certainty. We have developed unique and integrated design, production and assembly processes so that the core and shell milestone of a Cree building can be achieved faster than when using conventional building methods.

Cree’s expertise is a seamless continuation of the 130 years of experience in the construction industry gained by our parent company, the Rhomberg Group. Its success stems from the ingenuity of Cree’s founder and CEO Hubert Rhomberg, an innovative visionary, who has rethought the building process in every respect.

Our buildings are constructed virtually before they are actually built. We make consistent use of BIM to coordinate the overall design process. In this way, we also automatically create a digital twin of the project, which is available for use and research throughout the entire lifecycle of the building. The lifecycle comprises the production, installation and operation of the building, including potential changes in occupation, and finally the dismantling and reutilisation of the building’s components.

Our timber-hybrid system can be used anywhere in the world – even when faced with extreme conditions, such as temperature fluctuations, earthquakes and parasite infestation. We use visible wood in the support structure, which offers fire resistance of up to 120 minutes. This has been proven in a number of full-scale fire tests.

Our system allows our clients to build timber-hybrid high-rise buildings with as many as 30 storeys and up to 100 metres high. Large spans and non-loadbearing exterior walls provide a high degree of flexibility when it comes to the individual design of the interior and façade.
